Vallal Trust, established in 1995, operates across 157 villages in Lalgudi block and 96 villages in Pullambadi block of Trichy District, Tamil Nadu. The organization focuses on socio-economic development, including community welfare, rural reconstruction, public health, and women's and children's welfare. It promotes education by establishing institutions in medical, technical, and academic fields and provides relevant training to empower individuals. Vallal Trust also addresses healthcare through hospitals and clinics, supports disaster relief, aids orphans with food, shelter, and clothing, eradicates poverty and illiteracy, and empowers women through Self Help Groups linked with bank credit facilities.

Since 2000, Vallal Trust has been actively raising awareness about water and sanitation across its project areas, covering 22 villages in Lalgudi block, 19 villages in Pullambadi block (Tiruchirappalli district), and 80 panchayats in Papanasam and Ammapettai blocks (Thanjavur district), Tamil Nadu. The organization collaborates with the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board to maintain the Block Level Water Quality Testing Laboratory (BLWQT) at Singampunari in Sivaganga district. Through sealed tenders and outsourced maintenance, the lab ensures regular monitoring and testing of water quality to promote safe and sustainable water usage in the region.
Tailoring training has proven to be a transformative skill, enabling women to earn a livelihood and support their families. Our objective is to empower women by providing them with opportunities to achieve financial independence, better educate their children, and enhance their overall well-being. By fostering self-reliance and confidence, we aim to create a positive impact on their lives and communities.
